The Bills

Expanding use of Electric Car Bill - The bill works to expand the use of electric cars in New Mexico-which emit less pollution and are more cost effective to drive- through making them affordable for the average NewMexican. By placing more electric cars on the roads and making them a viable option for all families, New Mexico has an opportunity to dramatically reduce its carbon footprint.
Outdoor Equity Fund - The establishment of an Outdoor Equity Fund would make a promise to our most vulnerable and disadvantaged youth in our state: We won't leave you behind, and they too, will get an opportunity to benefit from New Mexico's public lands and waters.
Feet To Pass - A driver of a motor vehicle shall proceed with caution when approaching or passing a person on a bicycle and shall pass the bicyclist at a reasonable speed, and keep a safe distance from the bicyclist; provided that in no event shall a distance of less than five feet be considered a safe distance.
STATE-WIDE Healthy Food Financing Initiative - Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI) Programs are an effective, viable, and economically sustainable policy-based solutions to bring food and jobs into communities without access to affordable, healthy foods.
Gender-Free Restrooms Act - The Gender-Free Restrooms Act requires that any single-user toilet facility in a public building or place of public accommodation shall be available to persons of any gender.
No State Land Border Wall - No property owned by the state shall be used, sold, leased, eased, transferred, or otherwise disposed of for use as a site for construction of a new barrier ordered or sought by the federal government on the border of the state of New Mexico and the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Sonora.
DOÑA ANA Healthy Food Financing Initiative - The Doña Ana Healthy Food Financing Fund would attract investment in underserved communities by providing critical loan and grant financing. These types of programs are an effective, viable, and economically sustainable solution to bring food and jobs into communities without access to affordable, healthy foods.
